No.114 New coronavirus vaccination begins

Updated: June 12, 2021

Vaccination, which is an important and effective measure to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infections, has begun.
In the city, we launched a vaccination project on December 2, 2020 last year, and started collecting information and preparing. The supply of the vaccine itself was delayed while the national policy was not quite shown, so the city's vaccination plan was changed one after another. In February 2021, we conducted two simulations of the vaccination venue with the doctors of the medical association, and formulated and announced the "Inagi City Model", a hybrid vaccination system that combines mass vaccination and individual vaccination. .
After that, on April 19, 2021, we started inoculating the first priority medical workers, and on the 26th of the same month, we started accepting reservations for the second priority elderly people aged 65 and over (approximately 20,000 eligible people). However, group vaccination was started on May 12, 2021, and individual vaccination was started on the 18th of the same month.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, as it has been difficult to make reservations at the beginning of the reception due to the concentration of telephone and internet connections.
In order to expand the vaccination system, the city has been doing its best in cooperation with the city medical association, municipal hospitals, and various medical institutions in the city. I know you are here.
Please use the Internet, which is relatively easy to book, or continue to call the call center.
Vaccines are scheduled to be supplied sequentially in the future, and as vaccination progresses, they will be distributed to everyone, so please wait for a while.

Vaccination quota status
Vaccinations carried out in the city were initially of two types: "mass vaccination method" and "individual vaccination method," but "large-scale individual vaccination" at Inagidai Hospital was added, and separately from this, "Self-Defense Forces Tokyo University "Scale Vaccination Center" is also now available.
○Mass vaccination method Initially, 48 people per day were vaccinated at the Inagi City Hospital venue, but as soon as the first priority, the vaccination of medical workers in the city, is completed, the vaccination quota for citizens will be gradually expanded. is.
Initially, the event was held twice at the Friend Hirao venue, with 120 participants each, but with the cooperation of Keiseikai Medical Corporation and Yomiuri Land Keiyu Hospital, we were able to expand the number of days.
The venue for the Central Cultural Center and General Gymnasium will be held with the cooperation of Keikokai Medical Corporation and Nanzan Rehabilitation Hospital (currently under construction and scheduled to open on October 1, 2021).
Initially, a total of approximately 3,000 doses (for approximately 1,500 people) were held at the two venues, but the number of sessions held at the Friend Hirao venue was increased to four, and seven new sessions were held at the Central Cultural Center venue and four times at the General Gymnasium venue. As of May 18, 2021, the number of doses has increased to approximately 7,500 doses (for approximately 3,750 people).
○Individual vaccination method Initially, there were 26 medical institutions (dispensaries, clinics, etc.) in the city, and 2 more locations were added later. Inagidai Hospital initially administered individual vaccinations, but has since moved to a large-scale individual vaccination system, and currently individual vaccinations are being conducted at 27 locations.
We are asking each medical institution in the city to treat 30 people per day. This is calculated to be approximately 46,000 doses (for approximately 23,000 people), but this number is the maximum target as some medical institutions cannot necessarily handle 30 people a day due to individual circumstances such as facilities and personnel.
○Large-scale individual vaccination method With the cooperation of Kenseikai Specified Medical Corporation and Inagidai Hospital, this vaccination will be carried out separately from the city's mass vaccination, and it is expected that 2,000 doses (for 1,000 people) will be administered.
○Self-Defense Forces Tokyo Large-Scale Vaccination Center The national government has set up this center in Otemachi, Chiyoda Ward, and the Self-Defense Forces is operating this center. It is currently unknown how many Inagi residents will use the service, but it will be implemented for 10,000 people a day.

How to make a reservation for vaccination
○ Mass vaccination method We accept reservations by phone or online at the call center.
○Individual vaccination method Initially, each medical institution could only accept calls over the phone, but 19 of these medical institutions now allow reservations to be made through the city's reservation system.
○ Large-scale individual vaccination method Reservations are made through Inagidai Hospital's dedicated reservation site.
○Reservations are made from the Ministry of Defense's dedicated reservation site for the Self-Defense Forces Tokyo Large-Scale Vaccination Center.

Reservation status
As of late May 2021, when this article was being compiled, more than 90% of those eligible for vaccination had reservations, and reservations were being taken one after another.
To date, the city has been gradually expanding vaccination methods and venues in collaboration and cooperation with the city medical association and city medical corporation, and based on the target figures, the supply amount will be enough to vaccinate all eligible people aged 65 and over. We are ensuring.
We will continue to work to create a system that makes it easier to receive vaccinations, and we will continue to implement support measures for those who have not yet been able to make an appointment.
