No. 49 On the Resignation of Deputy Mayor Ito and the Inauguration of New Deputy Mayor Ishida

Mr. Minoru Ito, who served as deputy mayor for four years from October 1, 2011, has retired from his position as of September 30, 2011, when his term of office expired.
Mr. Ito joined Inagi Town Hall on April 1, 1960, and was promoted to managerial position in April 1989 at the young age of 41, after successively serving as Children's Section Manager, Land Readjustment Planning Section Manager, and Physical Education Section Manager. In October 1999, he became the director, and after serving as the school education director, administrative director of a municipal hospital, and general affairs manager, he retired on March 31, 2008.
Mr. Ito was a person with a strong sense of responsibility, working seriously at work and sometimes giving strict guidance to his subordinates. During his tenure, he was highly trusted by many citizens, including members of the Diet.
As the general affairs manager at the time of his retirement, he was concerned about the fact that he was unable to rehire all the employees who were retiring at the same time, and he felt that he could not be the only one to remain at City Hall, so he was unable to rehire all the employees who were retiring at the same time. He was turned down for his own rehiring position.
However, his love for Inagi City is stronger than anyone else's, and even after his retirement, he continued to visit Inagi and interact with the city's residents, just as he did when he was in his current position.
Based on this personality and history, we tabled the proposal to appoint him as deputy mayor at the third regular meeting of the city council in 2011, and with his consent, he was appointed.
At the end of my term of office, I have asked to remain in office, but I have decided to step down as I am determined to make way for my successor, including the issue of my age.
Mr. Ito provided guidance and advice to me, a novice mayor who had just taken office at the time, and supported me through many difficult times in city administration. I would like to once again thank you for your contribution to the further advancement of the city as Deputy Mayor.
Mr. Mitsuhiro Ishida was agreed to be the successor at the third regular meeting of the City Council in September of this year.
Mr. Ishida joined Inagi City Hall on April 1, 1971, and worked in the welfare field for 19 years and eight months since being assigned to the Welfare and Health Division as a section chief in August 1995. From April 1998, he was in charge of preparing nursing care insurance, and for two years from April 2001, he was dispatched to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, where he was involved at the national level in brushing up the nursing care insurance system that had just been established. I received it. Among those involved in the long-term care insurance system, his name is still widely known on a nationwide scale, and he has also left a mark on the enhancement of Inagi City's long-term care insurance system.
