QuestionI had to transfer a patient due to an emergency. Can I receive benefits from the National Health Insurance for the transfer costs?

Response

Transportation costs will be provided if the application is submitted and approved under any of the following requirements.

  1. Received appropriate medical treatment based on the law through transfer
  2. It was significantly difficult to move due to the disease or injury that caused the transfer.
  3. Emergency and other unavoidable circumstances

Please note that the statute of limitations will expire two years after the day following the payment of the transfer costs, and you will not be able to apply.

Required Items for Application

  • Health Insurance Card
  • Seal
  • Opinion Statement from the Physician Requiring Transfer
  • Receipt for transportation costs
  • Documents that show the account number (such as a passbook)
  • Identity Verification Documents
  • Personal Number (My Number) Confirmation Document
