QuestionI am not enrolled in the National Health Insurance, yet I received a notification of the National Health Insurance tax assessment in my name as the head of the household. Why is that?

Response

The taxpayer for the insurance tax will be the head of the household. Therefore, even if the head of the household is not enrolled in the National Health Insurance, if there are members in the household who are enrolled in the National Health Insurance, the assessment notification will be sent to the head of the household (if the head of the household is enrolled in social insurance, they will be referred to as a "deemed head of household").
Furthermore, the calculation of the insurance tax will only be based on the members enrolled in the National Health Insurance.
