Furthermore, the cycling course for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (road race) passed through the city.

A facility that integrates the first stadium and aquarium in Japan, a fusion of sports and entertainment, "TOKYO GIANTS TOWN" will be established in the Inagi Minamiyama Eastern Land Readjustment Project area.
"TOKYO GIANTS TOWN" will open its core facility, the "Giants Town Stadium," on March 1, 2025, and will have a grand opening in 2027 as a new hub that includes an aquarium and dining facilities. (A joint project by Yomiuri Shimbun Tokyo Headquarters, Yomiuri Giants, and Yomiuri Land)
