1 11th Request for the Expansion of Nursery Schools I applied for the 1-year-old class at the Nursery School in Wakabadai, but I received a notification that it is unavailable, so I urgently request an expansion. Regarding the expansion of childcare facilities, based on the Inagi City Child and Parenting Support Project Plan and the Childcare Center Development Policy, from fiscal year 2015 to fiscal year 2021, we have established 3 Licensed Childcare Centers, 1 Certified Childcare Center, and 1 Family Childcare Facility, as well as the licensing of 2 Certified Childcare Centers and the privatization of 4 Public Nursery Schools. We have also increased the capacity of existing childcare facilities, resulting in an expansion of 950 slots. As a result, the number of children waiting for placement was zero as of April 1, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Moving forward, we recognize that we will continue to consider necessary measures based on the situation of children waiting for placement. 2 25th Request for Support for HPV Vaccination for Boys Support for vaccinations for girls is being implemented, but I would like support for vaccinations for boys as well. Regarding the administration of the HPV vaccine (4-valent) to males, it received national pharmaceutical approval in 2020, and we are aware of its effectiveness, etc. However, towards regular vaccination, discussions began in August 2023 at the Subcommittee on Vaccination and Vaccines of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
At this point, the administration of the HPV vaccine to males is not included in the regular vaccinations specified by the Vaccination Law and is positioned as a voluntary vaccination. Therefore, the city does not plan to provide financial assistance for vaccination costs and will continue to monitor future national trends.

1 11th About Wakabadai Station Bus Stop I would like more benches at the bus stop as there are few available. The city confirmed with the bus operators regarding the installation position of the existing benches at the Wakabadai Station rotary bus stop. It was reported that in both cases of boarding from the front or middle, there are no obstacles for getting on and off, and the benches are positioned in a way that does not hinder wheelchair users from using the ramp to board and alight. It is difficult to install new benches further forward than the current position.
Additionally, regarding the mixed waiting lines for the Keio Bus Wakabadai Loop and the Odakyu Bus bound for Shin-Yurigaoka at platform 2, we will consider installing guidance for orderly boarding by destination.

About Route Buses

Since the timetable revision on March 16, the number of services has decreased. What is the reason for this? The city has communicated the details you provided to the bus operators. In this context, upon confirming the circumstances surrounding the implementation of this timetable revision, we learned that there is a chronic shortage of drivers due to factors such as the inability to secure the necessary number of drivers even when recruiting, stemming from labor conditions including driver wages, and the need to comply with the "Standards for Improving Working Hours for Motor Vehicle Operators," commonly known as the "Improvement Standards Notification," which will be enforced from April 2024. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the number of bus services to an appropriate level based on the availability of drivers, not only for this route but also to maintain bus operations.
We hope you understand this context regarding the current timetable revision and continue to use our services.

3 22nd About Road Expansion The roads near my house are narrow, and there have been issues such as ambulances not being able to reach the front of the house. Are there any plans for road expansion work? Regarding the relevant road, it is designated as a district facility road in the Tama City District Plan Sakahama West District, and there are plans to widen it to a width of 5 meters.
The city is prioritizing road maintenance throughout the city, including the requested road, and is implementing it systematically.
As a measure until then, we will install caution signs for entering this road.

4 22nd About the Nanzan Land Readjustment Project Due to the ongoing Land Readjustment Project, there are many vacant lots, and the dust is significant. While I understand to some extent, how about suggesting to the association and Business Operators to use weed control sheets and other measures? Regarding the area on the southwest side of your residence, Minamiyama BASE, the construction work by the association is generally complete, and it is now managed by the landowners, including Nomura Real Estate. The timing for the start of land use is left to the individual owners, but we have contacted Nomura Real Estate, which owns a large area of land, through the association to implement measures against dust.
Additionally, in the development area on the east side of Yaoko, the association is conducting watering as needed with water trucks, and during dry periods, we will strengthen the watering as instructed by the city to the association, and we will cooperate to ensure the early completion of the construction.

1 15th Regarding the Publication of the Board of Education Regular Session Meeting Minutes The minutes of the Board of Education Regular Session on the website are only available up to May of last year, so I would like the most recent ones to be posted as soon as possible. Regarding the minutes of the Board of Education meetings, we strive to publish them promptly after the meeting in accordance with the law concerning the organization and operation of local educational administration. However, the Board of Education prepares the minutes in full text, and it takes time due to the verification, alignment, and examination of the spoken content and the minutes.
In the future, I have instructed the Board of Education to make efforts to shorten the time until the publication of the minutes as much as possible.
