The patient was transferred due to an urgent need. Can I receive National Health Insurance benefits for transportation expenses?

Update date: April 1, 2016

Transportation expenses will be paid if you apply and are approved if all of the following requirements are met.

  1. The person received appropriate medical treatment based on the law as a result of the transfer.
  2. It was extremely difficult to move due to the illness or injury that caused the transfer.
  3. Emergency or other unavoidable circumstances

Please note that if more than two years have passed since the day after you paid the transportation costs, the claim will become time-barred and you will no longer be able to file.
