Please tell me about the co-payment ratio at the medical institution counter.

The proportion of the co-payment to be paid at the medical institution varies depending on the age.
(1) The burden ratio for those who have not yet entered elementary school is 20%.
(2) After entering elementary school, the burden ratio for those under the age of 70 is 30%.
(3) The copayment rate for those aged 70 and over is 20% or 30% (determined by income and date of birth).

Burden ratio for those aged 70 and over
Resident taxable income for people aged 70 and over (National Health Insurance members)
Less than 1.45 million yen 1.45 million yen or more
20% 30%

Note: However, if the total income of National Health Insurance subscribers aged 70 or over is less than 5.2 million yen for two or more people and less than 3.83 million yen for one person, the burden will be 20%.
