What happens if I fail to pay my National Health Insurance tax?
Update date: April 3, 2015
If you fail to pay your insurance tax, we may not be able to issue a Certificate of Maximum Amount Application for High-Cost Medical Care Expenses. In addition, depending on the unpaid period, a demand letter may be sent, an insurance card with a short validity period may be issued, and property may be seized.
If it is difficult to pay the insurance tax due to special circumstances such as a disaster, you may be able to make an installment payment by application.
