A child was born. How do I get a health insurance card?

Update date: April 27, 2022

If you are not covered by social insurance or other dependents, you must enroll in the National Health Insurance.
In addition, if a person enrolled in National Health Insurance gives birth and is not using the direct payment system for the Childbirth and Childcare Lump-Sum Grant, you can apply for the Childbirth and Childcare Lump-Sum Grant.
Childbirth and Childcare Lump-Sum Allowance will be paid on the day of childbirth from the health insurance you are enrolled in.

What you need to apply for National Health Insurance

  • Birth registration copy (if the birth registration was submitted in a municipality other than Inagi City)
  • Identity verification documents (driver's license, passport, My Number card, etc.)
