From the month following your 70th birthday (or your birthday month if your birthday falls on the 1st), the percentage of co-payments you pay at the medical institution counter will be 20% or 30% depending on your previous year's income and date of birth. It will be one of the following.
For those who turn 70 years old, we will issue an "elderly recipient certificate" with the proportion of the co-payments listed, so the month of your 70th birthday (if your birthday is on the 1st, the month before your birth month) From the following month, please present your elderly beneficiary card along with your insurance card at the counter of a medical institution.
In addition, if you are a resident tax-exempt household, you can apply for a "ceiling amount application/standard contribution reduction certificate" and present it at the counter of a medical institution. up to the maximum amount. In addition, if there is unpaid insurance tax, the "Certificate of Limit Application/Standard Copayment Reduction" may not be issued.

Note: Even if you fall under the 30% burden, you must apply if the total income of National Health Insurance members aged 70 or older is less than 5.2 million yen for two or more people, or less than 3.83 million yen for one person. This will result in a 20% burden.
