When an insured person enrolled in the National Pension or a person who has paid premiums for 25 years or more in principle dies, the survivor's basic pension is paid to the wife (husband) or child who was supported by that person. can receive.
However, children are limited to children who have reached the end of the year in which they reach the age of 18, or children who are under the age of 20 and have a level 1 or 2 disability on the disability grade table.

  1. Those enrolled in the National Pension
  2. Those who were enrolled in the National Pension and have an address in Japan and are aged between 60 and 65.
  3. Those who are beneficiaries of the old-age basic pension. However, it is limited to those who have a period of 25 years or more, which is the sum of the premium paid period, the premium exemption period, and the combined period.
  4. Those who meet the eligibility to receive the old-age basic pension. However, this is limited to those who have a total period of 25 years or more, including the premium paid period, the premium exemption period, and the combined period.

In the case of notes 1 and 2, it is necessary to meet the following premium payment requirements.

Premium payment requirements

  1. As of the day before the date of death, the period of nonpayment of insurance premiums has not exceeded 1/3 of the insured period up to two months before the date of death.
  2. If the date of death is on or before March 31, 2026, there must be no delinquency period for insurance premiums during the most recent one-year period up to two months before the date of death on the day before the date of death.
