Please tell me about the procedure when a foreigner joins the National Pension or loses eligibility.

The procedures for joining and withdrawing are as follows.
Joining procedure
1.Foreign residents aged 20 to 60 should complete the procedures at the Citizens Section of Inagi City Hall, and then go to the Health Insurance and Pension Section to complete the enrollment procedures.
2.Enrollment procedures for dependent spouses of Employees' Pension Insurance subscribers are handled through the spouse's employer, so please consult with your employer.
If you are no longer a dependent spouse, please go to the city office and go through the procedures to change your category from Category 3 insured person to Category 1 insured person. In order to change the type, identification documents (My number card, residence card, etc.), basic pension number notification or pension book, and certificate of loss of eligibility are required.
3. If you lose your eligibility for the Employees' Pension, you must submit a notification of joining the National Pension. Please bring your identity verification documents (My Number Card, Residence Card, etc.), basic pension number notification or pension book, and documents that show the date of loss of eligibility (employment slip, certificate of loss of eligibility, retirement certificate).
disqualification procedure
If you start working for a company after enrolling in the National Pension, please notify the company with your basic pension number notification or pension handbook.
