I was enrolled in the employees' pension, but I retired from the company. How should I proceed?

When you retire from your company, you must complete procedures to become a National Pension Type 1 insured person (person who pays insurance premiums yourself) (even if you have a dependent spouse).

Items required for notification
(1) Identification documents (my number card, driver's license, etc.) and basic pension number notification or pension handbook (if you have a dependent spouse, the spouse's identification documents and basic pension number notification or pension handbook are also required) is)
(2) Documents stating the date of retirement (certificate of disqualification, separation from employment, retirement certificate, etc.)
Notes
(1) If a proxy submits the notification, the proxy's identity verification documents (My Number card, driver's license, etc.) and power of attorney are required.
(2) The National Pension Premium Payment Guide will be mailed from the Japan Pension Service at a later date.
(3) Persons who become dependents of their spouses upon retirement from the company (Category 3 insured persons) must complete enrollment procedures at their spouse's place of employment.
