QuestionPlease tell me about the name change procedure for National Pension subscribers and beneficiaries.

Category 1 Insured Person
When your name changes due to marriage or other reasons, you need to complete the name change procedure at the Citizen Affairs Division. No procedures are required at the Insurance and Pension Division.
Note: Name changes for Category 2 and Category 3 insured persons should be reported to their respective workplaces or their spouse's workplace.
Pension Beneficiary
It is necessary to submit the "Notification of Change of Name for Pension Beneficiary."
The notification form is available at the Pension Office and the City Hall Insurance and Pension Division.
Please attach and submit all of your current pension certificates, as a new pension certificate will be issued after the name change.
Additionally, please also process the name change with the financial institution where you receive your pension.
Note: If you are receiving a survivor's pension and the reason for the name change is due to marriage or adoption, you will lose your right to receive the survivor's pension. For more details, please check with the Pension Office.
