QuestionWhat is a basic pension number?

Response

The symbol numbers assigned to subscribers of the National Pension, Employees' Pension, and Mutual Aid Pension were integrated as the Basic Pension Number starting from January 1997.
Additionally, from October 2015, the employee pension system was unified, and the Mutual Aid Pension was consolidated into the Employees' Pension.
As a result, even if the enrollment system changes, the number can still be used without alteration.
This Basic Pension Number allows for the recording of pension enrollment status throughout all periods of public pension, enabling faster and more reliable pension consultations and pension determinations.
