QuestionPlease tell me about the special disability benefits of the National Pension.

Response

The Special Disability Benefit was established as a welfare measure, considering the special circumstances that arose during the development of the National Pension system for individuals with disabilities who were unable to receive the Disability Basic Pension, etc., due to not joining the optional enrollment period of the National Pension.

Eligible Individuals

  1. Students who were eligible for voluntary enrollment in the National Pension before March 1991
  2. Spouses of those who were enrolled in the Employees' Pension and were eligible for voluntary enrollment in the National Pension before March 1986

Among the eligible individuals, those who have a diagnosis date within the period of not voluntarily joining the National Pension and currently meet the criteria for Disability Basic Pension Level 1 or Level 2 can make a claim.
However, it is necessary to submit the claim by the day before reaching the age of 65.

Grant Amount (Fiscal Year 6)

If the person is receiving other pensions or based on income, the payment may be adjusted or suspended.

Persons eligible for Grade 2 Disability Basic Pension
