QuestionPlease tell me how to pay the Long-Term Care Insurance premiums.

Response

Persons aged 65 and over

Those who have a Certificate of Residence in Inagi City will each contribute to Inagi City, regardless of the health insurance or dependents they are enrolled in.

Special Collection (Deducted from Pension)

Those whose basic pension is 180,000 yen or more per year among public pensions

During the six annual pension payments, the Long-Term Care Insurance premium will be deducted from the pension before it is deposited into the account. The amount deducted each time is not uniform, as shown in the table below.

April, June

August, October, December, February

Provisional Collection (Same amount as the previous February) {Confirmed insurance premium amount for that fiscal year - (April payment + June payment)} ÷ 4 times

The collection amount for April and June will be provisionally collected at the same amount as February, as the resident tax for that fiscal year has not been finalized (finalization occurs in June). The annual insurance premium will be calculated in July, and the collection amount will be adjusted from August onwards.

Even if the Pension is over 180,000 yen per year, there may be cases where it is temporarily paid with a payment slip.

When paying with a payment slip Payment Method
  • When I turned 65 years old
  • When moving in from other cities and towns
  • When the Pension payments begin
Deductions from the Pension will generally begin about six months to one year later. Until then, payments will be made through regular collection (payment slip or bank transfer).
  • When the insurance premium increases during the fiscal year
The increased amount will be paid through regular collection (payment slip or bank transfer).
  • When the insurance premium is reduced during the fiscal year
  • When the Pension is temporarily suspended
Special collection (deduction from Pension) will be temporarily stopped. During the period until it resumes, payments will be made through regular collection (payment slip or bank transfer).

Payment by payment slip or direct debit (Ordinary Collection)

Those with a public pension, whose basic pension is less than 180,000 yen per year, who have turned 65 years old, or who have moved to Inagi City, etc.

The annual amount is divided into 9 installments from July to March of the following year. (For those who became insured in Inagi City after July, payments will generally start from the following month.)
We will send you a payment slip, so please make your payment by the specified due date.

Direct Debit

Payment of Long-Term Care Insurance premiums is recommended to be done via convenient and secure bank transfer. This eliminates the hassle of going to make payments and the worry of forgetting to pay. Please make use of this option. (It generally takes about one and a half to two months from application to start.)
There are two methods to apply.

(1) Application by Direct Debit Request
