Frequently Asked Questions (Long-Term Care Insurance)
QuestionPlease tell me about the payment for high-cost nursing care (nursing care prevention) services.
Response
If the user burden amount for nursing care services (monthly) exceeds the upper limit in the table below when combined for the household, the excess amount will be provided later as "High-Cost Nursing Care (Preventive) Service Fees."
Those eligible will receive the "High-Cost Nursing Care (Preventive) Service Fee Application Form."
Once you apply, subsequent payments will be automatically deposited.
From the service usage in August 2021, the classification for those with "income equivalent to that of active workers" will be subdivided, and a new burden limit will be set.
For details, please refer to the table below titled "From the service usage in August 2021."
Notice
- Housing costs, food expenses, and daily living expenses at the facility are not covered.
- The self-funded portion of specific welfare equipment purchases and housing renovations is not eligible.
- After two years from the day following the payment of the user's share for the use of nursing care services, you will no longer be able to apply due to the statute of limitations.
