Collection of claims other than Municipal Tax
In Inagi City, in order to maintain fairness and justice for payers, as well as to reduce the amount of public fund arrears and aim for more effective collection, a new Taxation Division for non-tax claims was established in fiscal year 2014. The non-tax claims division takes over claims that have not been paid within the current fiscal year and have been carried over as arrears (from previous years), and collects them in a centralized manner.
For those who do not respond to reminder notices or for whom payment intentions are not recognized, regardless of the amount in arrears, we will take measures such as property seizure based on laws and regulations, and apply to the court for payment orders and compulsory execution, striving to secure the claims.
If you are facing difficulties in making payments, please do not leave it unaddressed and consult the Taxation Division for non-tax claims as soon as possible.
What is delinquent tax collection?
This is a series of procedures to forcibly collect overdue charges from individuals (debtors) regardless of their intentions, by investigating their assets and seizing savings, salaries, life insurance, real estate, etc., converting them into cash (public auction), and applying the proceeds to settle the overdue charges.
These procedures are stipulated in laws such as the Local Tax Act and the National Tax Collection Act, and can be carried out by the city's tax collection officials without the need for court approval if deemed necessary.
Note: Since the After-School Childcare Program development fee cannot be seized due to delinquency, enforcement will be carried out after filing a petition with the court.
Claims handled by the Revenue Division
Late-Stage Elderly Medical Care Insurance Premiums, Long-Term Care Insurance Premiums, Childcare Fees, After-School Childcare Program Development Fees, and Arrears from Sewerage Operations Beneficiary Charges (Old Fiscal Year)
Note: Current fiscal year receivables are managed by the respective divisions in charge.
About Holiday Opening Days
The duties related to tax receivables (payment consultations, reissuance of payment slips, etc.) are only available on weekdays. Please note that we cannot accommodate requests on holidays, so please be careful not to make a mistake.
Note: If you have a payment slip (only within the payment deadline), you can only make the payment, so please come to the Collection Division.
Please let us know your feedback on how to make our website better.
