Direct Debit

This is a method of automatically withdrawing and paying from the specified deposit account on the due date. There are no worries about forgetting to pay, receiving reminders or late fees, or missing out on refund claims. Since there is no need to carry cash, you can pay your taxes safely and securely.

• Note 1: Regarding the automatic bank transfer for light vehicle tax (type-based), all vehicles owned will be subject to it. Please note that you cannot select specific vehicles.
• Note 2: Please be aware that past due amounts, delinquent amounts, Municipal and Tokyo Metropolitan Resident Tax (special collection), and Corporate Municipal Resident Tax cannot be paid via direct debit.

How to Apply

Application by dedicated postcard (Direct Debit Request Form)

Please fill out the required information on the dedicated postcard (Direct Debit Request Form) provided at the Inagi City Hall Collection Division, Hirao Branch Office, and Wakabadai Branch Office, and affix your seal (bank registered seal) before submitting it either by posting it in the mailbox or handing it in at each office. (Please note that you cannot bring it to the financial institution.)

• Note 1: If you make a request by phone, we can also send you a dedicated postcard (direct debit request form), so please feel free to contact the Collection Division.
• Note 2: You can also print an application form similar to the dedicated postcard (Direct Debit Request Form) from the Inagi City Website. Please fill in the required information and affix your seal (bank registered seal), and send it to the Revenue Division by mail or submit it at each counter.

Application for Pay-easy Account Transfer Reception Service

This is a service that allows you to easily apply for account transfers at the City Hall, Hirao Branch Office, and Wakabadai Branch Office by reading your cash card on a dedicated machine and entering your PIN. For more details, please see the "Pay-easy Account Transfer Reception Service" page.

• Note 1: The application deadline for the dedicated postcard (Direct Debit Request Form) is about 50 days before the transfer date, while for the Pay-easy Direct Debit Reception Service, the application deadline is about 20 days before the transfer date.
• Note 2: There are financial institutions that do not handle the Pay-easy account transfer reception service. For more details, please see the "Financial Institutions Handling Account Transfers" below.

Application Deadline / Transfer Date

The application deadline and transfer dates for direct debit are as shown in the table below.
However, even if you apply within the deadline, there may be cases where the direct debit cannot start from your desired date due to incomplete information, so we strongly recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible.

• Note 1: Please be aware that past due amounts, delinquent amounts, Municipal and Tokyo Metropolitan Resident Tax (special collection), and Corporate Municipal Resident Tax cannot be paid via direct debit.
• Note 2: If the application deadline for Pay-easy is not on a City Hall business day, the last business day before will be the application deadline.
• Note 3: There is also a "Full Period Advance Payment Account Transfer" option to transfer the tax amount for one year in a lump sum. For more details, please contact the Collection Division.

Notes

• No notification of completion of procedures or transfers will be provided, so please check using your passbook or other means.
• For small motorcycles (over 250cc) that require a paper tax payment certificate at the time of vehicle inspection, we will send the tax payment certificate in mid-June after confirming the account transfer.
