If you have a My Number Card (with a valid electronic signature certificate), you can apply for the issuance of a tax payment certificate online.
Please apply using the form below.

Note: If you are applying for the first time, please read the "Necessary Things and Items" and "Important Notes" below, and confirm whether you can apply.

Type of Certificate

Tax Payment Certificate
(Municipal Resident Tax, Tokyo Metropolitan Resident Tax, Property Tax, City Planning Tax, Light Vehicle Tax (Type Division), National Health Insurance Tax)
Note: A tax payment certificate for Light Vehicle Tax (Type Division) can also be applied for vehicle inspection.
Note: Online application is not available for taxes related to business establishments.
Fee
Issuance fee... 400 yen (for 1 tax item and 1 fiscal year)
Shipping fee... 110 yen (subject to change due to weight excess)
Note: There is no issuance fee for light vehicle tax (for vehicle inspection).

Note: Cancellations after payment cannot be made.
Note: Please be aware that receipts cannot be issued.
Necessary Things
(1) The application is made by the applicant himself/herself
(2) My Number Card
Note: Must have a valid electronic signature certificate
(3) PIN for entering information on the My Number Card
Note: 4-digit number
(4) PIN for the electronic signature certificate of the My Number Card
Note: Alphanumeric characters from 6 to 16 digits
(5) Smartphone (compatible with My Number Card)
(6) Dedicated app (Electronic Authentication My Number Sign)

(7) Email address that can be confirmed on a smartphone
(8) Must reside in Japan

Notes

  • "Tax Payment Certificate" and "Taxation (Non-Taxation) Certificate" application errors, please be careful.
  • After you enter and submit the application information, the Revenue Division will review the content and send the examination results and fee information via email. Once you confirm the content and complete the payment, the certificate will be shipped 2 to 3 days later. The shipment cannot be made until the payment is completed, so please be careful not to miss the confirmation of the examination results and fee information email.
  • If there are any unclear points regarding the application, we may contact you by phone or email. If we are unable to reach you, we may cancel your application.

Application Method

1. First, install the dedicated app (Electronic Authentication My Number Sign) on your smartphone.
2. Access the online Application Form and register your email address.
3. A URL for login will be sent to the registered email address.
4. Log in to the Application Form again using the URL and enter the required information.
5. After confirming the entered information, perform the electronic signature. Use the dedicated app on your smartphone to read the My Number Card and press the application button. (The application acceptance email contains the password for payment.)
6. After the application, the Collection Division will review the content and send the review results and fee information via email.
7. Log in to the payment screen using the URL from the review results and fee information email, and enter the password issued at the time of application.
8. Choose the payment method (credit card, PayPay) and make the payment.
9. After confirming the payment in the Collection Division, the certificate will be sent 2 to 3 days later.

Note: If the payment is not completed within 7 days after the notification of the examination results and fee information is sent, the application will be canceled, and you will need to reapply.

Other Topics

Those eligible for support measures such as DV cannot apply online. (Please apply at the counter)
