Renewal of Electronic Certificate (For those who have received the notification of the expiration of the electronic certificate)

You can start the renewal process for your electronic certificate three months before its expiration date.
As the expiration date of your electronic certificate approaches, you will receive a "Expiration Notification" in a blue envelope from the national organization. If you wish to renew your electronic certificate, please check the contents of the envelope and come to complete the procedure.

  • Note:You can proceed even if there is no expiration notification.
  • Note:You can still proceed with the process even if the expiration date has passed.

Issuance of Electronic Certificates (for those without electronic certificates, etc.)

If you have a My Number Card, you can issue an electronic certificate at any time as long as it is within the card's validity period.

Required Documents

Personal Application

My Number Card (PIN verification is required at the counter)

Application for Legal Representative (for those under 15 years old or adult wards)

If the person is under 15 years old or is an adult under guardianship, in principle, the issuance of a "signature electronic certificate" is not possible.
Only the issuance of a user identification electronic certificate will be allowed.

  1. The individual's My Number Card (PIN verification is required at the counter)
  2. One official identification document with a photo issued by a public office for the legal representative 1 point (such as a driver's license or My Number Card)
  3. Certificate of Registered Matters (for adults under guardianship)

Application for Voluntary Agent

Update

  1. Personal My Number Card
  2. One official photo ID issued by a public office for the authorized representative 1 point (such as a driver's license or My Number Card)
  3. Sealed Inquiry and Response Document (enclosed with the expiration notification)
How to Create an Inquiry and Response Document
  1. Please have the individual fill out the inquiry and response form completely.
  2. The completed inquiry and response form should be enclosed in the provided envelope and must be sealed with tape.
  3. Please entrust your My Number Card and the sealed inquiry and response document to your representative.
  • Note: If the inquiry and response document is not sealed, the procedure cannot be completed.
  • Note: If there are any deficiencies in the description, the procedure cannot be completed.
  • Note: If the registered PIN is incorrect, the procedure cannot be completed. The individual must come to the office again to reset the PIN.

Issuance

  1. Personal My Number Card
  2. One official photo ID issued by a public office for the authorized representative 1 point (such as a driver's license or My Number Card)
  3. Power of Attorney

Note: The procedure will not be completed on the same day.

  3. Wakabadai Branch Office (Weekdays Only)

Reception Hours

From 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (However, on holidays, the office is closed from 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM)
