Health Damage from Regular Vaccination

If health damage occurs due to adverse reactions caused by regular vaccinations, such as requiring treatment at a medical institution or hindering daily life, you can receive benefits based on the Vaccination Law.
Depending on the extent of the health damage, there are categories for Medical Expenses, medical allowances, child-rearing pensions for disabled children, disability pensions, death lump-sum payments, and Funeral Services, with amounts specified by law being provided.
However, whether the health damage was caused by the vaccination or by other factors (such as infections that occurred before or after the vaccination or other causes) will be deliberated by a national review committee composed of experts in the fields of vaccination, infectious disease medical care, law, etc. Benefits can be received if it is recognized as being caused by the vaccination.
If you need to apply for benefits, please contact the examining physician or the Health Division of Inagi City.

Note: For more details, please visit the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare website.

Health Damage from Optional Vaccination

If you wish to receive vaccinations outside the designated period established by the Vaccination Law, or if you receive vaccinations not specified by the Vaccination Law (such as mumps), they will be treated as voluntary vaccinations. If you suffer health damage from voluntary vaccinations, you can receive relief based on the Act on the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development.

Note: For more details, please visit the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency website.
