About the Completion of Additional Measures for Rubella
Free antibody testing and vaccinations for those who have not had the opportunity for regular rubella vaccinations will end on March 31, 2025. If you are interested, please consider getting tested and vaccinated as soon as possible.
In addition, we will conduct rubella antibody tests and provide vaccinations to those who need them based on the results. Depending on the testing method, it may take several days before the vaccination, so we recommend that you receive the antibody test by February of the 7th year of Reiwa.
The implementation period for rubella antibody testing and the 5th phase of rubella vaccination has been extended.
Coupons will be sent to men born between April 2, 1962, and April 1, 1979, who have never had the opportunity to receive a rubella vaccination. These coupons will allow them to receive free rubella antibody testing and vaccinations gradually over three years, from fiscal year 2019 to fiscal year 2021.
- Note 1: It has been extended for three years until the end of March in the 7th year of Reiwa.
- Note 2: For those who have not received the antibody test, coupons were sent again in early April of the 6th year of Reiwa.
- Note 3: We will conduct a rubella antibody test and provide vaccinations to those who need it based on the results. Depending on the testing method, it may take several days before the vaccination, so we recommend that you receive the antibody test by February of the 7th year of Reiwa.
Target: Males born between April 2, 1962, and April 1, 1979
- Note: Those who have undergone rubella antibody testing from fiscal year 2019 to fiscal year 2023 are excluded.
