Regular (Statutory) Individual Vaccination for Children
We are conducting regular vaccinations (vaccinations based on the Vaccination Law) to prevent the occurrence and spread of diseases that pose a risk of infection.
(From October 2024) Regular vaccination of pediatric pneumococcal (20-valent) vaccine and the end of regular vaccination of pediatric pneumococcal (13-valent) vaccine
The pediatric pneumococcal (20-valent) vaccine will be included in the regular vaccination schedule. Consequently, the regular vaccination of the pediatric pneumococcal (13-valent) vaccine will be discontinued.
Note: For details on each vaccination, please check below.
(From April 2024) Regarding the regular vaccination of the five-component mixed vaccine (DPT-IPV-Hib) and the pediatric pneumococcal (15-valent) vaccine
Vaccination for Hib infection and the four-component combination (DPT-IPV) will change to the five-component combination (DPT-IPV-Hib) vaccine. Additionally, the vaccination for pediatric pneumococcus will change from 13-valent to 15-valent.
Note: For details on each vaccination, please check below.
Five-in-One Vaccine (DPT-IPV-Hib)
The city refers to the "Vaccination for diphtheria, whooping cough, acute poliomyelitis (polio), tetanus, and Hib infection" as the "five-component mixed vaccination."
Note: Those who have already received the four-component mixed vaccine or Hib infection vaccine will continue to be vaccinated with the four-component mixed vaccine and Hib infection vaccine. In principle, switching to the five-component mixed vaccine during the vaccination process is not allowed; however, due to the discontinuation of the four-component mixed vaccine, if it is not possible to complete vaccination with the same vaccine, it may be possible to switch to the five-component mixed vaccine as an "inevitable circumstance." In that case, please consult with the administering physician and proceed with the vaccination.

About the Health Damage Relief System
If health damage occurs due to adverse reactions caused by regular vaccinations, such as requiring treatment at a medical institution or hindering daily life, you can receive benefits based on the Vaccination Law.
Depending on the extent of the health damage, there are categories for Medical Expenses, medical allowances, child-rearing pensions for disabled children, disability pensions, death lump-sum payments, and Funeral Services, with amounts specified by law being provided.
However, whether the health damage was caused by the vaccination or by other factors (such as infections that occurred before or after the vaccination or other causes) will be deliberated by a national review committee composed of experts in the fields of vaccination, infectious disease medical care, law, etc. Benefits can be received if it is recognized as being caused by the vaccination.
If you need to apply for benefits, please contact the examining physician or the Health Division of Inagi City.
