About Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Catch-up Vaccination
The catch-up vaccination period is from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2025. In light of the significant increase in demand following this summer, and the situation regarding limited shipments, those who have received at least one vaccination during the catch-up vaccination period (from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2025) will be able to receive three vaccinations at public expense for one year after the period ends (during fiscal year 2025) as a transitional measure.
Eligible Individuals
Individuals eligible for the conventional catch-up vaccination (women born between April 2, 1997, and April 1, 2008) and those who will newly be excluded from the regular vaccination program in fiscal year 2027 (women born between April 2, 2008, and April 1, 2009)
Extension Period
Catch-up vaccination period (until March 31, 2025) is expected to last for one year after its end.
