I received an email asking for a "site usage fee" that I don't remember! Don't panic if it says "legal action"! Ignore fake billing emails
Updated: March 19, 2018
There are an increasing number of consultations such as "I received an e-mail with a billing charge that I do not recognize" and "I received a billing e-mail with the name of a site I know, but I have never signed a contract with that site."
Such e-mails are sent to an unspecified number of people all at once, and their contents are baseless. If you call or email the other business, you will be persistently demanding payment. Never contact the other company. If you send an e-mail or make a phone call, use the reception rejection function or call rejection function to see what happens.
Even if it says that you will take legal action, do not rush to pay. If you have even the slightest doubt or concern about your bill, please contact the Inagi City Consumer Affairs Consultation Office (telephone 042-378-3738).
