How to obtain my number card (individual number card)

Updated: December 4, 2024

How to obtain my number card

In Inagi City, there are three ways to obtain a certificate: "visiting the city office at the time of issuance," "visiting the city office at the time of application," and "express issuance application."
Either method requires you to visit our office at least once.

At the time of issuance, visit the agency

You can apply via your smartphone, computer, or by mail, and then come to city hall to pick up the card once it is ready.
You can apply without coming to the city hall.
It takes approximately one month from application to receipt.
Click here if you are applying via the "visit to the office at the time of issuance" method.

Visit the office at the time of application

When applying, you will need to visit the city hall or Hirao/Wakabadai branch office, and when the card is ready, you will receive it at home (where you are registered as a resident). The post office will send the card to you by "personal delivery mail" or "registered mail."
It takes approximately one month from application to receipt.

Express issuance application

When applying, you will need to visit the city hall or Hirao/Wakabadai branch office, and when the card is ready, you will receive it at your home (or where you are registered as a resident). The post office will send the card to you by "express or registered mail."
It takes about one week from application to receipt.
There are various conditions for those who can apply, such as "infants under the age of 0," "those who have lost their My Number card," and "those who have moved from abroad." For more information, please see the link below.

Notes

・You will need to come to City Hall to collect your My Number Card ( My Number Cards are not issued at branch offices ).
・If you are using the online application assistance service at City Hall or the Hirao/Wakabadai Branch Office, you will need to visit the office twice: once to apply and once to receive the certificate.

You will need to bring a photo taken with an ID camera, etc.
・If you have a notification card, Basic Resident Registration Card, or My Number Card, they will be returned at the time of application, and you will not have the various cards in hand by the time you receive your My Number Card. ・Once your My Number Card is completed, it will be mailed to your home. However, if by any chance you are unable to receive it within the storage period at the post office, you will need to come to the city hall to pick it up.

In principle, a photo ID is required (except when applying at the same time as submitting a birth notification).
・Once your My Number card is ready, it will be mailed to your home. However, if you are unable to receive it within the designated time frame at the post office, you will need to come to your city hall to collect it.
