What should I do if I am not satisfied with the results of my certification of needing nursing care or support?

Updated: February 17, 2023

If you have any questions about the results of certification for long-term care or support, please first consult with the Elderly Welfare Section Long-Term Care Certification Section.
If you are still unsatisfied with the decision, you can file an appeal (appeal) with the Long-Term Care Insurance Examination Committee in Tokyo within three months from the day after you learned of the disposition (certification). .
The Long-Term Care Insurance Examination Board of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government examines whether the dispositions made by the city are illegal or unfair. It does not re-certify.
