You can receive deductions even if you do not have a Physical Disability Certificate.

Eligible Individuals

Those who meet all of the following criteria

  1. Persons aged 65 and older who have received long-term care certification
  2. Those who have been confirmed in the long-term care certification documents to have difficulties in daily life due to dementia or being bedridden for more than six months.

A certificate issued by the city is required. It takes about two weeks to be issued. For more details, please contact us.

Medical Expense Deduction (Long-Term Care Insurance service usage fees (10% to 30% out-of-pocket expenses))

1. Long-Term Care Insurance services may be eligible for Medical Expenses deductions.

Eligible Services

  • Facility Services (Special Nursing Homes, Long-term Care Health Facilities, Medical Care Facilities for the Elderly)
  • Home care services (It is assumed that these services are positioned within the home care service plan and are used in conjunction with medical services.)

Note: A receipt is required. The deductible amount varies depending on the service used.

2. Diaper costs are eligible for medical expense deductions.

To make diaper expenses eligible for medical expense deductions, it is necessary to attach a "Diaper Usage Certificate" issued by a physician. However, for those who have received nursing care certification and meet the conditions below, a "Diaper Expense Medical Expense Deduction Certificate" can be issued instead of the "Diaper Usage Certificate," so please contact us.

Eligible Individuals

Individuals who can be confirmed to be bedridden and in a state of urinary incontinence through the Opinion Statement from their primary physician used during the Long-Term Care Insurance certification process.
