With the decrease in the working population due to declining birth rates and an aging society, and the diversification of the needs of workers, it is important to create a workplace environment that allows for the balance of parenting, caregiving, and treatment for illness or infertility with work.
Additionally, with the trend of later marriages and childbirth, the existence of households that must simultaneously manage parenting and caregiving (double care) has also been pointed out, with an estimated 250,000 people facing this situation nationwide.
This portal site provides various information useful for balancing home and work, including case studies, experiences of balancing work and family, and columns, aimed at business operators, HR personnel, and workers. We also introduce the city's initiatives related to support for balancing work and family, so please make use of it.
