The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is conducting surveys and hearings with foreign nursing care staff working under the residence status of "Nursing Care" and the facilities and businesses in the fiscal year 2022 social welfare promotion project. Based on the information obtained, we are creating a collection of case studies on the active participation of foreign nursing care staff working under the residence status of "Nursing Care," so please make use of it.

Purpose of Creating Case Studies

  • By conveying the background and current activities of foreign nursing care staff who have come to Japan to work with expertise in a foreign land, we aim to promote the professionalism and appeal of care workers, as well as provide a reference for the career plans of foreign nursing care staff.
  • By describing the effects brought by the residence status "Nursing Care" and the challenges felt by foreign nursing care staff, we will communicate the necessary support for the active participation of foreign nursing care staff to facilities and business operators, and promote further support for their active participation.

Structure of Case Studies

  • What is the residence status "Nursing Care"?
  • Effects of the Residence Status 'Nursing Care'
  • Case studies of 10 foreign care workers with residence status "Nursing Care" (Note: classified by training facility route and practical experience route)
