Light Vehicle Tax Environmental Performance Reduction

Due to tax reform, the automobile acquisition tax was abolished from October 1, 2019, and the light vehicle tax environmental performance levy was established. When acquiring a light vehicle with three wheels or more (for those exceeding an acquisition price of 500,000 yen), it will be taxed regardless of whether it is new or used.
Furthermore, the light vehicle tax environmental performance levy will be collected by Tokyo Metropolitan Government for the time being.
In addition, with the establishment of the light vehicle tax environmental performance levy, the previous light vehicle tax has been renamed to the light vehicle tax type levy.
