Mail Procedure for Returning License Plates

Those who have moved from Inagi City to another municipality can return their license plates by mail.

If it is difficult to visit Inagi City Hall, those who wish to return documents by mail should submit the following documents.

(1) When the taxpayer (owner) is the notifier

  • Light Vehicle Tax (Type Division) Vehicle Deregistration Notification and License Plate Return Form (available for download from the file below.)
    Note: If you have any questions about how to fill it out, please consult the Taxation Division, Municipal Resident Tax Section of Inagi City Hall at the contact information below.
  • License Plate
  • A copy of identification documents (Please make a copy so that your name, date of birth, and current address are visible.)
  • Reply envelope (must be addressed with the return address and have a stamp affixed.)

(2) When the notifier is different from the taxpayer (owner)

  • (1) Four points
  • Power of Attorney (can be downloaded from the file at the bottom of the page, but there is no specified format)
    Note: A Certificate of Residence is required even for applications made by relatives living in the same household.
