Please cooperate in thoroughly separating waste
Improper sorting can lead to fires during collection!
Please dispose of rechargeable batteries such as lithium-ion batteries, and small electronic devices that cannot have their rechargeable batteries removed, such as electric shavers and mobile batteries, as "hazardous waste."
If they are accidentally mixed with "non-burnable garbage" or "Burnable Garbage," there is a risk of fire occurring within the waste processing facility, which could lead to equipment damage, worker accidents, collection delays, and suspension of facility operations.
Before disposing of waste, let's check once more to ensure it is properly sorted.
Note: Small electronic devices that cannot have their rechargeable batteries removed can also be collected at the "small electronic device collection boxes" set up at 11 locations in the city.
Items to be careful of [How to dispose of ignitable materials]
Please put out on the designated day for "hazardous waste (small electronic devices with non-removable rechargeable batteries)" once a month.
- Dry batteries, button batteries
- Rechargeable batteries (excluding lead-acid batteries)
- Lighter cans, cassette gas cartridges (dispose without puncturing)
- Writer
- Flares
- Products containing mercury, such as mercury thermometers and mercury sphygmomanometers
- Electric shavers, electric toothbrushes, electronic cigarettes, wireless earphones, etc.
- Fluorescent light
How to Dispose and Precautions When Disposing
- Please put each item in a plastic bag. In particular, please place batteries and mercury thermometers in separate bags.
- Please leave the fluorescent lights as they are, and if there are two or more, please tie them together with a string before disposing of them.
- Please insulate the button batteries with tape or similar on both sides before disposing of them.
- For small electronic devices with non-removable rechargeable batteries, please do not dispose of them as non-combustible waste. Instead, tape the terminals with tape such as cellophane tape and dispose of them as "hazardous waste" or place them in the "small electronic device collection box."
- Rechargeable batteries should be insulated with tape such as cellophane tape and either disposed of as "hazardous waste" or taken to a "city recycling cooperation store."
- Please dispose of spray cans, cartridge gas canisters, and lighters after they are completely used. If you cannot use them up, please dispose of them as they are without puncturing, as there is a risk of ignition.
