[Application Closed] New Resident Tax Exemption Household Temporary Key Support Grant (100,000 yen)

In the fiscal year 2024, households where all members are exempt from the resident tax uniform tax, or households that are newly subject only to the resident tax uniform tax, will receive a benefit (100,000 yen per household). If there are children under 18 in the same household, an additional 50,000 yen will be added for each eligible child. Furthermore, this benefit will be treated as non-taxable and exempt from seizure under the law.

Note: The non-taxable portion of the income tax is determined before the fixed amount reduction.

Note: Households that received the Temporary Key Support Grant for Households Exempt from Resident Tax (70,000 yen) or the Temporary Key Support Grant for Households Subject to Only the Resident Tax Flat Rate (100,000 yen) in the fiscal year 2023 are not eligible.

Note: Households consisting only of dependents of those subject to the resident tax for the fiscal year 2024 are not eligible.

Note: Households with individuals who are taxed abroad and have submitted a Notification for exemption from resident tax under a tax treaty are not eligible.

The application for the new temporary key support grant for households exempt from resident tax (100,000 yen per household) has been closed as of October 31, 2024 (Thursday).
