Welfare Benefits for Foreign Residents with Seniors and Disabilities

Welfare benefits will be provided to foreign residents in the city who are seniors or have disabilities.
Eligible individuals should apply.

Eligible Individuals

Foreign residents in Japan who have continuously resided in Japan since before March 31, 1986, and are currently registered as residents in Inagi City, do not meet the requirements for receiving public pensions, but fall under one of the following categories:
Note: Foreign residents in Japan... Special permanent residents as defined in Article 3 of the Special Law on Immigration Control for those who have renounced Japanese nationality based on the peace treaty with Japan, and those recognized by the Mayor of Inagi City as equivalent.

1. Persons born before April 1, 1926
2. Persons with moderate or severe disabilities born before January 1, 1962, who were classified as having moderate or severe disabilities before January 1, 1982
3. Those who were born before January 1, 1947, and became moderately disabled or more between January 1, 1982, and March 31, 1986.

Note: Those who are receiving similar benefits from other municipalities, those who are receiving Public Assistance, those who have been registered as residents of the city for less than one year, and those who are institutionalized are not eligible. Please check the details at the time of application.

10,000 yen per month

Application Method

Please bring documents that show the account number for the transfer, your seal, and a Physical Disability Certificate that confirms the eligibility requirements to apply.
