About admission application to special nursing home for the elderly

From April 2015, due to the revision of the Long-term Care Insurance Law, the number of people who can enter special nursing homes has become 3 to 5 in principle.
Those requiring long-term care 1 or 2 can apply (special admission) if there is an unavoidable reason that it is difficult to lead a daily life at home.

As before, please apply directly to the special elderly nursing home you wish to enter.

Please contact the special elderly nursing home you wish to enter directly.
If it is difficult for you to carry on your daily life at home, we will accept applications at the facility if the following reasons apply.
(1) A person with dementia who frequently exhibits symptoms/behavior that interferes with daily life and difficulty in communication.
(2) Associated with intellectual disability, mental disorder, etc., frequently showing symptoms, behavior, and communication difficulties that interfere with daily life.
(3) It is difficult to secure mental and physical safety and security due to suspicion of serious abuse by family members, etc.
(4) Being a single-person household, or having a family member living with you who is elderly or infirm, cannot expect support from family members, etc., and the supply of nursing care services and life support in the community is insufficient.

No procedure is required.

If you are contacted by the facility where you applied, please respond.

Even if you change to Care 1 or Care 2 after April 2015, you will still be eligible for admission.
