About the level difference plate

Updated: February 10, 2023

Please do not install step elimination plates etc. on the road.

In order to eliminate the level difference with the road where cars enter, it is seen that "access blocks", "iron plates", "car steps", etc. are installed on the road.
Placing such objects on roads can obstruct the flow of rainwater and cause road flooding. Also, please do not install them as this is extremely dangerous as it may lead to accidents involving infants, the elderly, pedestrians with physical disabilities, motorbikes, bicycles, etc.

These actions are prohibited as they violate Article 43 of the Road Act, and if an accident occurs, the installer may be held liable for damages.

(Note)
Article 43 of the Road Act: No person shall engage in any of the acts listed on the left regarding roads.
(1) Unnecessarily damaging or defacing roads.
(d ) Unnecessarily piling up objects such as rocks, bamboo, and trees on the road, or engaging in other acts that may impede the structure of the road or traffic .

If you wish to eliminate the difference in level, you can carry out work on cutting down the L-shaped ditch or sidewalk at your own expense by completing the `` application for road construction at your own expense'' pursuant to Article 24 of the Road Act. For information on the scope and structure of the devaluation section, please contact the Management Division of the Urban Construction Department, Inagi City Hall (contact information is listed below).

We ask for your understanding and cooperation so that everyone can use the roads safely and comfortably.
