For those who need support with voting
Proxy Voting
If you are unable to write the name of the candidate on the ballot due to physical or other reasons, you can request assistance from the staff at the polling place, and they will help you cast your vote through proxy voting (writing on your behalf). However, family members accompanying you are not allowed to write on the ballot.
Additionally, proxy voting can also be conducted during early voting.
Braille Voting
Persons with visual impairments can vote using Braille.
If you wish to vote using Braille at the polling place, please inform the staff at the polling station, and they will provide you with a ballot marked for Braille voting. Additionally, Braille devices are also available at the polling place.
Furthermore, Braille voting can also be conducted during early voting.
Voting by mail and proxy registration system
Those who have a certain physical disability and hold a Physical Disability Certificate, as well as those who require nursing care level 5, can vote by mail while being absent from their residence. For details on the conditions and procedures for using this system, please see the page below.
Voting Support Card
This is a card for those who need proxy voting or other assistance (help) at the polling place (including early voting) and find it difficult to communicate verbally with the staff.
If you wish to use the voting assistance card, please download the form from below, print it out, fill in the desired assistance details, and present it to the staff at the polling place. If you bring it along with your polling place entry ticket, the reception will proceed smoothly.
Examples of Support
- I want you to write instead on the ballot (proxy voting)
- I would like to have a written conversation
- I want you to read the candidate's name
- I want you to use the communication board
- I would like guidance (information) within the polling place, etc.
Notes
- Depending on the content of the support requested, it may be difficult to respond.
- If printing is difficult, please write down whether you wish to use proxy voting and any other necessary support on paper and bring it with you.
- During early voting, please fill in your name, date of birth, etc. in the declaration section on the back of your voting entrance ticket in advance, and bring it along with your voting assistance card to ensure a smooth check-in process.
