My Town Inagi 2017 Rintaro Ogawa

Update date: October 15, 2017

Won two soft tennis tournaments

Mr. Ogawa, a 6th grader at Inagi Seventh Elementary School, won both the individual and team competitions at the 7th East Japan Elementary School Soft Tennis Tournament (July 2017), and the 34th All Japan Elementary School Soft Tennis Championships (July 2017). We won the team competition.
Having won the second place in the qualifying round held in Tokyo in May this year and being selected as a member of the Tokyo national team, I was able to participate in these two tournaments. Doubles is the main competition in soft tennis, and teamwork is very important. Since the fall of the fifth grade, he has been trying to talk to his partner, who has been paired with him, and try to cheer him up with a loud voice. In team competitions, we were sometimes paired with a different pair than usual, but Mr. Ogawa said that he was able to face any pair without hesitation. I came into the match with perfect breath,” he said.
Mr. Ogawa started playing soft tennis two years ago, and the reason he started playing soft tennis was a series of coincidences. During her stay in Qatar for her father's work, she attended a short-term tennis course accompanied by her older sister. It seems that he decided to join the club because he was attracted to the coach's personality and the seriousness of the members. I work hard and practice with my friends every day.
Even after becoming a junior high school student, she said that she will continue to play soft tennis as part of her junior high school club activities.
In spring, junior high school students. Let's look forward to Mr. Ogawa's future activities and support him.
