In our country, the aging population is rapidly increasing, and it is expected that by 2025, the proportion of older adults aged 75 and over will reach 30% of the total population. In light of this situation, the city has conducted an assessment of the current state of medical services, a survey of citizen needs, future projections of medical demand, the current status of the local medical association, and estimates of the number of hospital beds in Inagi City for 2025, in order to consider the ideal state of Inagi City. The 'Inagi City Medical Plan' was formulated in fiscal year 2015.
Five years have passed since the plan was established, and due to changes in Inagi City's medical service system, medical demand, and related policies such as the regional medical concept, a review was conducted from fiscal year 2020 to 2021, which is the mid-term of the 'Inagi City Medical Plan.'
