Inagi City Health Promotion Plan
In March 2006, the city formulated the 'Inagi City Comprehensive Health and Welfare Plan,' consisting of five plans: 'Community Welfare Plan,' 'Older Adults Health and Welfare Plan,' 'Disability Welfare Plan,' 'Parenting Support Plan,' and 'Health and Medical Plan' as a comprehensive plan in the health and welfare sector.
In the health and medical sector of this comprehensive welfare plan, based on the purpose of the Health Promotion Act enacted in 2002, the city's health promotion plan, which reflects the national 'Health Japan 21' and Tokyo's 'Health Promotion Plan 21,' has been included, and guidelines have been established to promote health-building activities led by citizens, developing various projects aimed at extending healthy life expectancy.
Subsequently, in March 2012, the 'Second Inagi City Comprehensive Health and Welfare Plan' was formulated, and further, in March 2018, the 'Third Inagi City Comprehensive Health and Welfare Plan' was established, with a planning period of six years from fiscal year 2018 to fiscal year 2024, and efforts have been made to promote the plan.
Now, with the current planning period set to expire at the end of fiscal year 2023, based on the partial amendment of the Social Welfare Act in April 2018, which repositions the community welfare plan as a higher-level plan in the health and welfare sector for older adults, persons with disabilities, children, health, and medical care, and in consideration of the national 'Health Japan 21 (Third),' a new individual plan, 'Inagi City Health Promotion Plan,' will be formulated in March 2024.
