Suicide is considered a death resulting from a complex interplay of various factors, and it is important to recognize that it is not only an individual issue but also has social factors in the background. Therefore, it is crucial for society as a whole to work on suicide prevention measures.
Based on the Basic Law on Suicide Prevention, the city is formulating plans for suicide prevention in Inagi City, taking into account the Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Strategy and the Prefectural Suicide Prevention Plan, as well as the local circumstances.
With the end of the first plan's period in fiscal year 2023, and considering the city's past efforts, achievements, challenges, and the national "Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Strategy," the second Inagi City Suicide Prevention Plan has been formulated as the next plan.
Moving forward, based on this plan, we aim to realize the basic philosophy of "a city of Inagi where no one is driven to suicide" through collaboration and cooperation with relevant organizations, including the administration, and by providing comprehensive support for living, we will promote suicide prevention measures comprehensively.
