Qualified Invoice Storage Method (Invoice System)
Starting from October 1, 2019, the consumption tax has been implemented as a system with multiple tax rates: a standard rate of 10% and a reduced rate of 8%.
After the start of the invoice system on October 1, 2023, in order for buyers to receive input tax deductions, it will be necessary to keep invoices issued by sellers.
Furthermore, those who can issue invoices must be registered as qualified invoice issuing Business Operators, and they will be obligated to issue invoices at the request of buyers, as well as to keep copies of the issued invoices or electronic records related to the provided invoices.
Inagi City's Response (excluding Inagi City Sewerage Operations and Inagi City Hospital)
1 Payment to be made to Inagi City
In taxable transactions, when you make a payment using the payment notice issued by the city, we will issue a qualified invoice even if there is no prior request for it.
For other taxable transactions, we will issue a qualified invoice at the request of the business operators who are the buyers. If a receipt has already been issued, it will be issued in exchange for that receipt, so please contact the relevant window for each payment.
2 When Inagi City makes the payment
In principle, we do not require Business Operators to issue qualified invoices (invoices).
Note: However, for bills such as public utility charges that may require reimbursement, we may request issuance.
Inagi City's Invoice Registration Number
Registration of qualified invoice issuing business operators must be done for each accounting.
In our city, we have also registered qualified invoice issuing business operators by accounting, so we will inform you of the registration number.
For inquiries regarding the Inagi City Sewerage Operations accounting and Inagi City Hospital, please contact the person listed in the remarks section.
