How to pay insurance premiums

Updated: September 4, 2024

Please pay at a bank, post office, or other financial institution, or at a convenience store using the payment slip sent to you by the Japan Pension Service (Pension Office).
If you do not have your payment slip, please contact the Fuchu Pension Office (phone: 042-361-1011).
If you wish to have your account automatically debited, please bring your identification (My Number card, driver's license, etc.), payment slip, basic pension number notice or pension book, deposit (savings) passbook, and account registration seal. If you wish to pay by credit card, please bring your identification (My Number card, driver's license, etc.), payment slip, basic pension number notice or pension book, and credit card. The procedure can be completed at the City Hall Insurance and Pension Division or the Fuchu Pension Office (account deduction procedures can also be completed at financial institutions, but please check in advance as they may not have account transfer application forms).
You can also apply for electronic direct debit from your account through Mynaportal. If you would like to pay via smartphone app, please install the corresponding payment app on your smartphone or other device, and use the device's camera to scan the barcode printed on the payment slip to make the payment. For more information, please visit the Japan Pension Service website (external link) .
If you have missed paying your premiums from the previous month or earlier, you can pay them through Nenkin Net .

Note: If you wish to make a late payment of your insurance premium during the approval period for special student payment, payment deferral, or full or partial application exemption, you will need to apply for late payment. The pension office will send you a payment slip for extra payment, so please make your payment using that payment slip. It cannot be withdrawn from your account.
