Do muscle-building exercises now that you're healthy! Fall and fracture prevention gymnastics class

Updated: June 20, 2023

A health exercise instructor will come to groups of 10 or more people and teach them gymnastics. (10 times in total) The aim is for the group to be able to continue exercising even after the class ends. Currently, there are approximately 50 groups in the city that are continuing the movement.

Target audience

  • People who are generally over 65 years old and can come to the venue on their own
  • Those who have not been instructed by a doctor to restrict exercise

How to apply

Once around 10 people have gathered, please contact the Elderly Welfare Division of Inagi City Hall or your local comprehensive support center.

Contents

It mainly trains muscle strength and balance function. It is performed while sitting on a chair.

  • stretching exercise
  • strength training
  • balance exercise
  • Brain training to improve concentration, etc.

Based on the program, instructors will teach according to the level of the participants.

Support for independence

During the 10 sessions of the fall and fracture prevention gymnastics class, the instructor will also provide support for self-management, such as key points of gymnastics and how to shout out to each other, so that you can continue doing gymnastics on your own even if the instructor is no longer available.
