What is the Adult Guardianship System?

This is a system that legally supports individuals who may not have sufficient judgment due to conditions such as dementia, by selecting a supporter (such as a guardian) to protect their rights.

Adult Guardianship System

Application and Compensation Assistance for Guardians of Older Adults

In cases where it is difficult to bear the costs of application and the remuneration for guardians, assistance will be provided for the expenses related to the use of the adult guardianship system for Older Adults.

Eligible Persons for Subsidy

Individuals aged 65 and older who are registered as residents of Inagi City, or those who have become wards by the declaration of the Mayor of Inagi City, and who meet the following economic requirements set by the city.

  1. Recipients of Public Assistance or those receiving living support benefits under the Law for Support of Chinese Remaining Nationals, etc.
  2. Those who are clearly in a state of needing Public Assistance, due to bearing the costs of remuneration.

However, the following cases are not applicable.

  1. When the General Incorporated Association Tama Nanbu Adult Guardianship Center is a corporate guardian, etc.
  2. In the case of relatives being adult guardians, etc.
  3. If you are receiving other similar benefits or grants
  4. Persons who have become wards due to petitions from municipalities other than Inagi City

Eligible Applicants

The person themselves, or their adult guardian, assistant, or supporter

Eligible Expenses for Subsidy

The application costs will be subsidized within the amount borne by the applicant, including application fees, registration fees, postage, medical certificate preparation fees, and appraisal fees.
The subsidy for remuneration costs will be within the amount determined by the remuneration award ruling, with a maximum of 20,000 yen per month.

Subsidy Eligibility Period

The reward subsidy will be based on the reward period determined by the reward granting judgment.

Application for Subsidy

Those who wish to receive a subsidy must submit the Application Form along with the following documents to the Senior Welfare Division of Inagi City Hall within 60 days from the day after the judgment of compensation is made.

  1. Copy of the judgment document for reward granting
  2. Copy of the certificate of registered matters related to adult guardianship
  3. Documents that show the inventory of assets and other assets, as well as income status
  4. Documents that confirm you are receiving Public Assistance or benefits
  5. Other documents deemed necessary by the mayor
