Renewal of medical insurance card for the elderly

Updated: November 26, 2024

About the Late-stage Elderly Medical Insurance Card

The expiration date of the current insurance card is July 31, 2024. The new insurance card (blue bamboo color) was sent by registered mail in early July. In addition, the number of items sent out for the mass renewal is very large, and due to postal circumstances, they are being delivered to your home in order, so please wait for a while.
Please note that from December 2, 2024, My Number cards and health insurance cards will be integrated, and the issuance of paper health insurance cards will end after that. However, the health insurance cards being sent to you this time can be used until their expiration date (July 31, 2025) as long as there are no changes to your address, co-payment ratio, etc.

About the Limit Application Certificate and Limit Application/Standard Charge Reduction Certificate

The Limit-Amount Application Certificate and Limit-Amount Application/Standard Charge Reduction Certificate will also be renewed. If you have been issued one in the past and will remain eligible after August, we will send you a new certificate in mid-July.
